Dates for the Clinic will be
Tuesday March 13th through Saturday March 17th.

For Application

We tried to plan the clinic over most high school/college spring breaks to enable volunteers to make this clinic into a family affair.

We are planning an optional trip to the Copper Canyon BEFORE the clinic (and based on my experience in the fall, that is a great place to visit). Two nights will be spent at the Canyon. Available activities include the following;

a) 7 zip lines plus two suspension bridges
b) Repelling (plus traversing the canyon wall)
c) A tram going from the top of the canyon

Those volunteers coming ONLY to the clinic will leave Houston Tuesday 3/13 in the morning and arrive at the clinic in the afternoon (those coming from other desinations must catch American's flight #3385 from DFW to Chihuahua).

Those going to Copper Canyon will leave Houston Sunday 3/11 and spend two nights at the canyon (it really is breathtaking - like the Grand Canyon but bigger).

Regardless of which day you depart, we will return on a Saturday (3/17) afternoon flight and arrive back in Houston Saturday night at 9pm (or arrive at DFW at 4:35pm via American #3250).

Note: There are some seats available in the van which Walter will drive from Houston (he leave Saturday morning 3/10 and return Sunday 3/18). If interested, contact Walter (contact info on left side of page).

The Center provides
Eye and Dental care
to indigent people within the
State of Chihuahua, Mexico.

Two five day clinics take place each year. Once in the spring and once in the fall. Care reaches people in need throughout approximately 60% of the state of Chihuahua.
In addition to the services provided by the volunteers, the State of Chihuahua provides on-site medical and humanitarian aid during the clinics
The clinics are staffed by volunteers from both Mexico and the United States. Volunteers with, and without medical skills help make these clinics successful.
